The Many Faces of NOW
Why a problem?
Invasive pest, host density about 10,000 times greater than
original, expansion of acreage closer to native range, almonds
in higher temperature environmentsA True Success Story!

Effect of Hullsplit on Coverage
As nut splits, surface area increases,

at harvest so do I spray more?

CONTROL 2010 Season Thoughts:
Cooler Spring/Summer, but 2nd flight should still sync up to
hullsplit
PTB Flight appears to as if it is going to overlap with
hullsplit (Anticipated 2nd flight July 6th-10th)
Consider pressure and history, but 1 spray on the early side
of Hullsplit is recommended - keep in mind your May Spray Using a Pyrethroid will most likely cause a mite flare up so
add a miticide
NOW control should evolve as your orchard practices
change (or our recommendations change)
