There are 3 ways to obtain Medicare:

Turning age 65 Social Security Disability for 24 consecutive months

What Happens After an Enrollment Application is Completed?

1. Completed enrollment applications are sent to BeHealthy for review

2. The Centers for Medicaid and Medicare Services (CMS) must approve all enrollment applications

3. Outbound Enrollment Verification call or letter

4. Confirmation Letter

Understanding Drug Formulary Terms

Formulary Exception: Members can ask the plan to make an exception to the coverage rules

Transition Process: A newly eligible member, switching plans or having a change in level of health care, can receive a one-time 30-day supply of their current medication(s). Members in a long-term care will receive a 31-day supply

Cost Tiers: Each drug is categorized by Tier. These Tiers determine how much members will pay for that drug

Restrictions: Some drugs have Prior Authorization, Quantity Limits and/or Step Therapy requirements

Network: Extensive network of participating pharmacies and well as mail order options for long term medications
