APPROVED CARBON MONOXIDE DETECTOR RECEIVING ITS PRIMARY SORCE OF POWER FROMTHE BUILDING WIRING AND HAVING BATTERY BACK-UP SHALL BE INSTALLED OUTSIDE OF EACHSEPARATE SLEEPING AREA OR BEDROOM(S) AND ONE ON EVERY LEVEL OF THE DWELLING INCLUDING BASEMENTS. WHERE MORE THAN ONE ALARAM IS REQUIRED TO BE INSTALLED WITHIN AN INDIVIDUAL DWELLING OR SLEEPING UNIT, THE ALARMS SHALL BE INTERCONNECTED
IN SUCH A MANNER THAT THE ACTIVATION OF ONE WILL ACTIVATE ALL THE ALARMS IN THE UNIT.THE ALRAM IS PERMITTED TO BE SOLELY BATERY OPERATED WHERE THE WORK DOES NOT RESULT IN THE REMOVAL OF WALL AND CEILING FINISHES, OR THERE IS NO ACCESS THROUGHAN ATTIC, BASEMENT OR CRAWL SPACE. (CRC R315.1)
2. HARD-WIRE FIRE MARSHALL APPROVED SMOKE DETECTOR. SMOKE DETECTORS, MUST RECEIVE THEIR PRIMARY POWER FROM THE BUILDING WIRING AND SHALL BE EQUIPPED WITHBATTERY BACKUP, SHALL BE MOUNTED ON THE CEILING OR WALL OF EACH EXISTING ROOM USED FOR SLEEPING PURPOSES AND AT A POINT CENTRALLY LOCATED ON THE WALL ORCEILING OF THE EXISTING CORRIDOR OR AREA GIVING ACCESS TO THESE ROOMS. SMOKE DETECTORS SHALL BE LOCATED NO MORE THAN 12 INCHES BELOW THE CEILING OF THE ROOMOR CORRIDOR IN WHICH THE SMOKE DETECTOR IS REQUIRED TO BE INSTALLED. IN EXISTINGCONSTRUCTION SMOKE DETECTORS MAY BE BATTERY OPERATED, INSTALLED IN LOCATION AS SPECIFIED ABOVE. WHEN MORE THAN ONE SMOKE ALARM IS REQUIRED TO BE INSTALLED, THESMOKE ALARM SHALL BE INTERCONNECTED IN SUCH A MANNER THAT THE ACTIVATION OF ONEALARM WILL ACTIVATE ALL OF THE ALARM. (R314.4 CRC)

WHEN GLASS IS USED IT SHALL HAVE A MINIMUM THICKNESS OF NOT LESS THAN 1/8 INCH WHEN FULLY TEMPERED, OR 1/4 INCH WHEN LAMINATED, AND SHALL PASS THE TEST REQUIREMENTS OF C.B.C. STANDARD NO. 54-2. TABLE 4.303.2 MAXIMUM FLOW RATE AT ≥ 20 percent REDUCTION 2 gpm @ 80 psi SHOWERS AND SHOWER-TUBS SHALL BE PROVIDED WITH INDIVIDUAL CONTROL VALVES OF THE PRESSURE BALANCE, THERMOSTATIC, OR COMBINATION PRESSURE BALANCE/THERMOSTATIC MIXING VALVE TYPE THAT PROVIDE SCALD AND THERMALSHOCK PROTECTION. [§ 418 CPC] SHOWERS AND TUB-SHOWER COMBINATION VALVES REQUIRED BY THIS SECTION SHALL BE EQUIPPED WITH A MEANS TO LIMIT THE MAXIMUMSETTING OF THE VALVE TO 120 DEGREES F. [CPC 408.3]
4. WATER CLOSET SHALL BE LOCATED IN A CLEAR NOT LESS THAN 30 INCHES IN WIDTH AND HAVEA CLEAR SPACE IN FRONT OF THE WATER CLOSET STOOL OF NOT LESS THAN 24 INCHES. ULTRALOW FLUSH. TABLE 4.303.2 MAXIMUM FLOW RATE AT ≥ 20 percent REDUCTION 1.28 gallons/flush
