At the conclusion of this educational activity, the participant should be able to:• Explain the concept of first and second level approaches to dealing with lactation failure
secondary to thyroid dysfunction. • Describe the implications of placental problems during pregnancy for lactation. • Describe the impact of insulin resistance on milk production. • List three alternative therapies for milk production including one
mechanism each for how they may help.
