What is it?Google Analytics is a free tool that shows you how people found and interacted with your website.

Google Analytics - Why is it helpful?

With the information provided by Google Analytics, you can track your website traffic to gain valuable insight into how to enhance visitor experience in order to increase conversions and improve your website’s profitability.

Insights for use: Creating an account

Go to http://www.google.com/analytics.

Add a profile for your website by selecting “add a profile for a new domain” and entering your URL.

Insights for use: Implementing code

Copy the analytics code that is generated and have your web developers add it to every page on your site before the closing </head> tag.

Tip: Save the copied code to a notepad file that can be easily provided to your web developers.

Check to verify that the code is functioning properly by logging into your Analytics Account.

If the code has been properly implemented, then your data is being tracked and you will

see a green check mark when you login to the account.
