http://kevinoefelein.com Today, we’re going to talk about probably the number one tool any business should be using in their marketing arsenal. It something that frankly can do a better job, than anything, of separating you from your competition. I’m talking about newsletters. A newsletter is a very powerful thing. When done properly, a news letter can… Establish your authority Demonstrate your expertise Give you a better connection with your clients and prospects Those are really just three of the benefits, but they’re probably the most important. Other things like generating leads and making sales are also benefits but the things listed above kind of lead to those things in the first place. Anyway, let’s get this show on the road. 1. Establishes your authority By simply having a newsletter, you’re sending a message out to the world and your market. While it’s my opinion than anyone can put out a newsletter, not everyone does. By putting a newsletter out, you’re telling the world that you are an authority and you have something to say to your niche, and you should be listened to. As I’ve said many times by now, the world is full of incompetence, and you’re showing your market a lot by just being able to put out a newsletter each and every month. People will notice. As sad as it is, most business owners can’t even make it to their place of business on time, let alone being consistent enough to put a newsletter out each month. It honestly can give near instant authority status. 2. Demonstrates your expertise This kind of goes hand in hand with number one, establishes your authority. But there a slight difference here, and it’s in the actual content. As I said before, just consistently putting out a newsletter gives you near instant authority. Just by virtue of putting a newsletter out, you become an authority in your market. But that doesn’t even address the content of newsletter and how much it benefits the reader, and sets you up as the expert. Think of the newsletter as a stage. Now that you’ve put together a newsletter and set yourself up as an authority, it your time to show that you know your business. And it;’s your time to demonstrate that you are the go-to expert in the industry. Use the platform wisely. Use it not only to demonstrate that you are the expert through your knowledge of your field, and your competency in it, but also use the newsletter to set up the buying criteria of your market and to separate you from the rest of the field—the soon to be “also ran’s.” What do you know? I got a little carried away talking about newsletters and didn’t get to number 3, which is the most important thing a newsletter does: gives you a connection to your clients and prospects. I’ll be addresses that point next time.

3 Ways to Separate Yourself

from Your Competition

3 Ways to Separate Yourself…

Today, we’re going to talk about what might be the number one

tool any business should be using in their marketing arsenal.

3 Ways to Separate Yourself…

This is something that frankly can do a better job, than anything, of

separating you from your competition.

3 Ways to Separate Yourself…

I’m talking about newsletters.

Those are really just three of the benefits, but they’re probably the

most important.

Other things like generating leads and making sales are also

benefits, but the things listed above, kind of lead to those things

in the first place.

3 Ways to Separate Yourself…

Anyway, let’s get this show on the road.

3 Ways to Separate Yourself…

1. Establishes your authority

3 Ways to Separate Yourself…

By simply having a newsletter, you’re sending a message out to

the world and your market.

3 Ways to Separate Yourself…

While I believe that anyone can put out a newsletter, not

everyone does

By putting a newsletter out, you’re telling the world that you

are an authority and you have something to say to your niche, and you should be listened to.

3 Ways to Separate Yourself…

As I’ve said many times by now, the world is full of incompetence, and you’re showing your market a lot by just being able to put out a

newsletter every month.

People will notice.

As sad as it is, most business owners can’t even make it to their

place of business on time…

2. Demonstrates your expertise

3 Ways to Separate Yourself…

This kind of goes hand in hand with number one, establishes

your authority. But there a slight difference here, and it’s in the

actual content.

3 Ways to Separate Yourself…

As I said before, just consistently putting out a newsletter gives you

near instant authority. Just by virtue of putting a newsletter out, you become an authority in your

market.

3 Ways to Separate Yourself…

But that doesn’t even address the content of your newsletter and

how much it benefits the reader, and sets you up as the expert.

3 Ways to Separate Yourself…

Think of the newsletter as a stage. Now that you’ve put together a

newsletter and set yourself up as an authority, it’s your time to

show that you know your business.

3 Ways to Separate Yourself…

And it’s your time to demonstrate that you are the go-to expert in

the industry.

3 Ways to Separate Yourself…

Use the platform wisely.

3 Ways to Separate Yourself…

Use it not only to demonstrate that you are the expert through

your knowledge of your field, and your competency in it…

3 Ways to Separate Yourself…

but also use the newsletter to set up the buying criteria of your

market, and to separate you from the rest of the field—the soon to

be “also-ran’s.”

3 Ways to Separate Yourself…

What do you know?

3 Ways to Separate Yourself…

I got a little carried away talking about newsletters and didn’t get to number 3, which is the most

important thing a newsletter does: gives you a connection to

your clients and prospects.

3 Ways to Separate Yourself…

Don’t worry. I’ll be sure to address that point next time.

Until Next Time…

Until then,
