PROJECT: Mt Carlton - Survey Tailings Storage Facility
SCOPE: Carry out Bathymetric survey in Tailings Storage Facility and analyse data to provide information relating to quantity of ingress since last survey.
CHALLENGECHALLENGES: Water level was very low so as a result the same 'surface' area could not be surveyed. Danger of 'beaching' RC vessel due to low water level.
ACHIEVEMENTS: The data output was able to determine the ingress of product by comparing surveys carried out 12 months apart. Client received detailed technical report including volume curve.
