8 Common PestsIt’s not uncommon to see these pests in your

home!

Although they are small, ants can be quite pesky when they’re large in numbers. In fact, an average-sized ant colony has between 300,000 and 500,000 ants. They can also live for more than 10 years.

1. Ants

Bed bugs are the size of a small seed and they live off the blood of humans and animals. They love to hide in mattresses, closets, and in tiny cracks and crevices, and they multiply at a very fast rate.

2. Bed Bugs

Although cockroaches do know how to hide well, they leave feces and eggs sacks scattered around their dwellings as proof that they’re there.

Cockroaches also love to hide in moist, dark places, and they can spread infectious diseases to humans.

3. Cockroaches

As one of the spookier pests out there, spiders know how to creep and crawl unseen.

Venomous spiders like the Black Widow and Hobo tend to populate Utah homes, and they can bite without warning and without you even knowing.

4. Spiders

Termites can completely destroy any wood surface in your home or on your property, whether it’s your porch, deck, fence, or counter top. If they’re not exterminated properly, they can wreak havoc on your entire home.

5. Termites

A few mice can multiply into hundreds of mice in just a few short months. Not only do mice carry diseases, they also chew holes in your walls and furniture.

6. Mice

Wasps can be quite dangerous if they feel threatened. One sting can result in a serious infection or a trip to the emergency room. That’s why wasp infestations should be taken care of by a professional.

7. Wasps

Boxelder bugs pose more of a threat to your plant life than your life. They infest and obliterate maple, boxelder, and ash trees during warm months.

During the winter, they love to nest in homes and offices and will stay there until spring rolls around.
