• Influenced by punk rock

• Started in 1980 by Nick Logan

• Influential in showcasing style trends of youth culture in early 1980s.

• Distinctive typography

• Brody created some of the most well known covers

• Used hand-drawn typefaces and custom symbols on his page layouts

• Impacted photography, typography and simplicity

• Strong contrast and juxtapositions of text and images
