Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to determine the dimension of a scissor lifting mechanism for a
mobile observation platform, assembled on a semi-trailer chassis. Starting from main
requirements we determined the main component of the systems by choosing an appropriate
mechanism, establishing the main dimensions of the component elements and checking using
the finite element method their resistance.
