It has additional responsibilities of testing and refining the developed technologiesin the form of On Farm Trials (OFT) and also to conduct Front LineDemonstrations (FLD) of new technologies in the farmer‟s field. The KVK , N & MAndaman is situated adjacent to Andaman Trunk Road (ATR) at Nimbudera, whichis about 215 Kms away from the host institute (Central Island Agricultural ResearchInstitute) and 30 Kms from Mayabunder ,District Head Quarter .
MANDATE
Conducting „on farm testing‟ for identifying technologies in terms of locationspecific sustainable land use system.
Organize trainings to update the extension personnel with emergingAdvance in agriculture research on regular basis.
Organize short and long term vocational training courses in agricultureand allied vocations for the farmers and rural youths with emphasis on„learning by doing‟ for higher farm production and opening new avenues forself employment.
Organize front line demonstration (FLD) on various crops to generateproduction data and feed-back information.

National science day was observed by KVK, Nimbudera by organizingpainting / drawing and quiz competition for students and differentcompetition for farmers and farm women with the theme of Science for
Nation Building on 27th& 28thFebruary, 2015 in which about 200students and 100 farmers and farm women participated.
Director CIARI presided over as chief guest during the training on“Scientific Pig Farming Practices” held at KVK, on 13/03/2015.Furtherhe had review the progress achieved at KVK, farm.

The superior quality of coconut seed nut was sown in KVK premises forproduction of seedlings. The requirement (3000nuts) of quality seed nuts ofarecanut was sent to KVK, Port Blair.

FISH BREEDING AND SEED PRODUCTION
Fish breeding was carried out at various farmers pond at Subasgram, Madhupur, V.S Palli, Prafulyanagar, Jaipur , Santipur, Kadamtala ect.Farmers were demonstrated and trained on induced breeding of IMC and
rearing of fry in earthen ponds.Fry was also stocked in hired nursery pond by KVK Nimbudera.
FISH BREEDING AND SEED PRODUCTION
Varietal demonstration of CIARI dhan (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8 , & 9 ) of division of fieldcrop improvement & protection is being carried out at KVK farm.

August, 2015 in a befitting manner with farmers and Pradhan, Basantipur.
