ACTION TROPHYHuman Sizes

The problem with a lot of trophies is that you can’t

tell what they are for simply by looking at them.

Cups, shields and plaques all fall into this category and you need to read the

inscription to find out what they are for.

SITUATION

Trophies are much clearer and more dynamic when

they have an action figure performing the event for

which it is intended.

You are going to choose an event and design a trophy for it which clearly shows what the event is all about.

You will also study human measurement

(anthropometrics) and how this is used when designing

products.

The above trophy was evaluated by the class. This is what they thought:

“The figure is full of action, but it looks a

bit flat”

“It needs to be more 3D”

“The football looks like the man’s head,

it needs to be different”

“The football should be painted a different colour”

“Joints need to be a bit sharper”
