1. Open your Sources Table (Sources folder)

• You need to conduct research to decide upon a maximum of 2 animals for your shelter

• You must record EVERY website you use for research in the Sources Table – even if you do not use it for your final answer.

TASK (10 mins): Decide upon your animal/s.NB. You will need to conduct extensive research so ensure your animals are ones which are not too obscure.

TASK (10 mins): Decide upon the name of your shelter.NB. Ensure that you keep your target audience and chosen animal/s in mind for this.

• If you have an account, log in. If not, create a new account.

• Open MS Excel• Save in Activity 1 folder and call it Survey

Results

Collect results logically so that you can produce graphs from it

EXAMPLE – think about how you would produce a pie chart to show how many people belong to different age ranges

SENDING YOUR SURVEY

At least 10 participants ranging in age groups Their email addresses Email them your survey – you will be able to

check which results have come through

When all your completed surveys have been submitted, you must input the results into

your Excel worksheet.

GIVING ACCURATE FEEDBACK

Mark band 1

They have carried out a limited review of their work but with few modifications.

They have reviewed and modified their work throughout its development, using feedback from others to improve the outcomes.

FEEDBACK CHECKPOINT

Get feedback about both of your designs from teacher and test buddy so you can choose which one should be final.

• An appropriate font – it has the right personality or character

• Colour that communicates the company’s values – e.g. serious or upbeat and dynamic

• A good layout – font size and the surrounding area are well proportioned

• A simple design – perhaps just type or a very simple, graphic image

• Easy to reproduce in different sizes and backgrounds, in print or on screen

1. Open your Logo in Fireworks2. File Export Wizard3. Continue Continue Exit4. Make sure jpeg or gif is selected from the drop

down menu on the top left5. Click Export6. Make sure you call your file Logo7. Save it in your Activity 1 folder8. Cut and paste you other logo into the Other folder9. Cut and paste you Fireworks version of your logo to

the Other folder
