\. INTRODUCTION
Champion Bear Resources Ltd. ("Champion Bear") as part of its on going exploration program for its Iron Mask property carried out some limited field work to evaluate a number of magnetic anomalies selected for their likeness to anomalies typical of kimberlite bodies. Field visits to prospect the magnetic anomalies, located in Hart and Hess Townships, were undertaken during the months of September and October 2002. Ten stream sediment samples were collected at that time. The majority of the field work was carried out by Frank Racicot and was directed and supervised by Joe Hinzer, P.Geo., Senior Geologist of Watts, Griffis and McOuat Limited ("WGM")
Results of the kimberlite indicator minerals study conducted by SGS-Lakefield Research Limited ("SGS-Lakefield") were not available at the time of report submission due to sample volumes received by the lab.
This amended report presents the results of the 10 stream sediment samples submitted for kimberlite indicator minerals study including microprobe analyses of selected grains.
2. LOCATION AND ACCESS
The Iron Mask property is located approximately 45 km northwest of Sudbury (Figure l) and straddles Hwy 144 and the Canadian Pacific rail line. The entire property covers portions of five townships; Harty, Hess, Moncreif, Hart and Ermatinger. The work carried out during this program was limited to Hart, Harty and Hess, Township. Access to Hart Township is via the Fox Lake Road and Old Cartier Highway from the Windy Lake Motel on Hwy 144, located 15 km south of Cartier. The western portion of Hess Township is accessed via roads and water courses trending east from Cartier. The north-eastern portion is accessible from forest and cottage access roads leading east from Benny (Figure 2).
3. PROPERTY DESCRIPTION
The Iron Mask property consists of 79 contiguous unpatented mining claims (Table 1) containing 600 units and 3 leased claims. Local relief is up to 60 m and prominent ridges trend approximately east-west and north-south. Glacial debris forms local low ridges and extensive till plains hosting many of the drainages. Forest harvesting is active in this area and spruce, balsam, cedar, poplar, birch, alder and tamarack are the main types of vegetation.

4. HISTORY
The property, which covers parts of several townships and several geological environments, has seen extensive past exploration. Exploration has been conducted for uranium, base metals, cobalt, nickel and platinum group elements by a variety of major and junior companies.
During 1998-2001, Champion Bear Resources conducted an airborne magnetic and electromagnetic survey and limited ground follow-up surveys. Including some diamond drilling to test both the Hess offset dykes and base metal skarn targets.
5. GEOLOGICAL SETTING
Regionally the area is underlain by Early Precambrian metavolcanics, metasediments, felsic plutonic, migmatitic and mafic intrusives, the Nippising Diabase and late mafic intrusions related to the Sudbury Igneous Complex (see Figure 1). Deformation from the Kenoran Orogeny, Nippising Diabase intrusion and the Sudbury Impact Event all affected the area.
The Hart Township is underlain by primarily Huronian sandstones, conglomerates, limestones and Nippising intrusive rocks. Hess Township contains similar lithologies and also contains a portion of the Archean Benny Greenstone Belt in the northwestern segment. This area also lies within the range of both concentric and radial offset dykes. The northeast trending Hess offset dyke, and numerous northwest trending diabase dykes traverse the property (see Figure 3).
6. SEPTEMBER -OCTOBER 2002 WORK PROGRAM
6.1______GENERAL
The field work was carried out between September 26 and October 28, 2002 and has been the subject of a previous geotechnical report "Geotechnical Report On The Iron Mask Property Of Champion Bear Resources Ltd" dated February 21, 2003. The work was completed on claims 1174455, 1197718, 1221541, 1224157, 1230856, and 3009787. Alluvial samples were briefly described by Frank Racicot and sent to SGS-Lakefield Research Limited
This report presents only the results of the study prepared by SGS-Lakefield Research Limited. All the field work has been previously submitted.

Ten stream sediment (alluvial) samples were collected and sent for kimberlite indicator mineral analysis. Description of these samples is presented in Table 3.
Joe Hinzer, Project Manager/Geologist from Niagara Falls, ON, supervised the project and has prepared this addendum and summary of the results received from.
The alluvial samples were examined for kimberlite indicator minerals.Lakefield technicians picked more than 536 indicator grains (see Appendix 1). Of these 182 grains were selected for microprobe analyses (see appendix 1) to try and determine their association with kimberlite host rocks. Seven additional grains were also added after reviewing the data with Lakefield.
The results of the microprobe analyses are presented in the SGS-Lakefield report in Appendix2.

7. CONCLUSIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS
7J______CONCLUSIONS
Kimberlite indicator mineral analyses of the alluvial stream samples submitted indicated that many of the indicators are derived from mantle parentage.
The microprobe analyses identified four garnets with compositions similar to those found in diamond bearing eclogites.
The majority of the chromites probed are kimberlitic but plot outside the compositional field of those associated with diamonds.
Ilmenites probed proved to be of crustal origin.
The presence of such a large number of mantle derived mineral grains and the possible kimberlitic origin of many of the chromites is encouraging. The testing of other suitable targets is warranted.
7.2 RECOMMENDATIONS
Additional detailed alluvial sampling in the vicinity of the samples which contained the kimberlitic-chromite grains is warranted.
Further detailed alluvial sampling may also be warranted, as a follow up to, the Operation Treasurehunt kimberlite indicator minerals data release, for this area, expected in April 2003.

Summary
Microdiamond Extraction, Selection and Description
Kimberlite Indicator Minerals (KIMs) were extracted from 10 Champion Bear Resources,
Iron mask Property samples listed in Table 1. The samples were submitted for wet
screening at 10 and 60 mesh, with all +10 mesh and -60 mesh retained for future
reference. Pre-concentration of the -10+60 mesh fractions was carried out using a
Wilfley table, with all table tails retained and stored. The table concentrates were
submitted for heavy liquid separation using Methylene Iodide (M.I.) at 3.1 g/cc. Heavy
mineral concentrates were submitted for ferromagnetic and paramagnetic separation,
and finally KIM selection. Results of the KIM selection process are reported in
Appendix A.

Geochemical Analysis
Introduction
A total of 189 KIMs, consisting of 44 garnets, 137 chromites, 4 ilmenite and 4
clinopyroxene grains, were submitted for geochemical analysis by electron microprobe.
Analyses were carried out using a JEOL 733 Superprobe, operating in wavelength
dispersive mode, with an accelerating voltage of 20 kV, and various beam currents
(depending on mineral - see Appendix B). A summary of the standards used to
calibrate the electron microprobe is provided in Appendix B.
Results
The results of electron microprobe analysis may be found in Appendix B. Each mineral
type is discussed individually below.
Garnet
Forty-four garnets were submitted for geochemical analysis. The garnets all have very
low wt07o Cr2 O3 ^ 0.5 wt07o Cr2 O 3 ), with compositions that fall into the eclogite-crustal
field on a wt07o vs wt07o 3 plot (Figure 1). Four of the garnets have compositions similar
to garnets from diamond-bearing eclogites using the Dawson and Stephens (1975)
classification scheme. The remaining 40 garnets have FeO contents similar to crustally
derived garnets ^ 23 wt07o FeO - Schulze, 1997), and may be classified as crustal
garnets using Dawson and Stephens (1975).

Chromite
Chromite compositions show a positive trend on a plot of MgO vs Cr2 O 3 (Figure 2), but
do not overlap the compositional field of chromites included in diamond (Fipke et a/.,
1995). However, the high levels of Cr2 O 3 (7.37 - 68.31 wt07o), TiO2 (0.06 - 3.95 wt07o),
and high Mgtt's (average Mg# = 40) indicate that the majority of the chromites are
kimberlitic.

Conclusion
Several kimberlite indicator minerals, including eclogitic garnets and Cr-rich spinels,
were recovered from the 10 samples listed in Table 1. Further sampling may help to
identify a KIM anomaly in the area of these samples.
