a) short words (one or two syllables): •we add –er + than.e.g.: •He is taller than me.•My car is cheaper than your car.
b) adjective ending in vowel + consonant•we double the consonant and add -er

c) adjective ending in –y: •we change y–i and add –er

d) long words (three or more syllables):• we add : more + adjective + than
e.g.: Maria is more beautiful (adj) than Jennifer. This book is more interesting than that book.
OBS! Irregular Adjectives change their form:

e.g. :• The red car is the fastest in the group.• My brother is the smartest from the family.
b) adjective ending in vowel + consonant•we double the consanant and add – este.g. :•She’s the tallest from her team.
c) long words (three or more syllables):• we add : the most + adjective
