Afghan Media Analysis – November 2013

Mobile phone operators category is the top spender in Afghanistan’s electronic media (TV, Radio).

Afghan Government is the top Advertisers. In Nov 2013 they Advertised almost on all TV Channels(Private and government).

Afghan Government ran different Awareness campaigns in Nov 2013. Including: Child labor, Justice & Law, Security awareness Programs etc.

Saturday and Sunday are the most clutter days in Afghanistan.

Afghan - Prime Time 7 to 10 PM is the most expensive and cluttered than other time slots.

Afghan media run the transmission in Dari, Pashto, Persian, Uzbek, Urdu and English.

60% of total Afghan TV business is on the top three TV Channels: 1 TV, Ariana and Tolo. These three are most expensive and highly viewed TV Channels in Afghanistan.

Total of 5% of Afghan media goes to FM Radios

More than 30 Pakistani Advertisers have been on-aired on Afghan media in 2013. In major Players Coca Cola, Unilever, Nestle and Colgate. In November these five were active. Pie is

consist on the basis of these five Players.
