1) Money was definitely a factor in European exploration.  What role did money play in exploration? Does money play a part in people moving today?  or does it matter?  Why or why not?

3) Isolationism is a concept that has been around for hundreds of years. What do you think would have resulted if East Asia hadn’t practiced isolationism during this time period? Did it benefit them? Explain your answer by providing examples.
