ALOE VERA JUICE

Idea

During my stay in Costa Rica my host mother, Mrs. Agustina, prepared many lovely dishes. Among them there was Aloe Vera juice. Due to my curiosity she explained how it was prepared. She said it was a very healthy drink, and it was even said to help cancer patients. The following are instructions on how to prepare the healthy drink.

In search of Aloe VeraTo be able to prepare the beverage you would need to find aloe vera. The simplest thing would be having the plant at home . If not you would need to find supermarkets that might carry it. Depending on how much juice you might want, would define how much you would need to acquire.

Extracting Gel From Plant

You will only need the plants gel to make the juice. Make sure to only remove the plants clear gel and

not other parts of the plant, because ingesting other parts might

lead to problems such as diarrhea. Do not leave the gel out for long

because the gel will oxidize and the beverage will lose it’s nutrients.

IngredientsAloe Vera Gel

Water

Sugar

BlendIn a blender you add water, sugar, and aloe vera gel. Blend to your liking. You can either blend the ingredients completely, or you can allow the gel to remain visible.

EnjoyYou have now made aloe verajuice. You can add lemon or improvise with other flavors.
