1 1/2 pounds ground beef

1 egg

1 onion, chopped

1 cup milk

1 cup dried bread crumbs

2 tablespoons brown sugar

2 tablespoons mustard

1/3 cup ketchup

Salt & pepper to taste

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F

2. In a large bowl, combine the beef, egg, milk and bread OR cracker crumbs. Season with salt & pepper to taste and place in a lightly greased 5x9 inch loaf pan, OR form into a loaf and place in a lightly greased 9x14 inch baking dish.

3. In a separate bowl, combine the brown sugar, mustard and ketchup. Mix well and pour over the meatloaf.

4. Bake at 350 degrees F for 1 hour.

1 1/2 cups butter, softened

2 cups white sugar

4 eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

5 cups all-purpose flour

2 teaspoons baking powder

1 teaspoon salt

1. In a large bowl, cream together butter and sugar until smooth. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Stir in the flour, baking powder, and salt. Cover, and chill dough for at least 1 hour ( or over-night).

2. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Roll out dough on floured surface 1/4 to 1/2 inch thick. Cut into shapes with any cookie cutter. Place cookies 1 inch apart on ungreased cookie sheets.

3. Bake 6 to 8 minutes in preheated oven. Cool completely.
