From The East!Brethren,!!We are in 1st place in the visitation competition. There are only 3 visitations left, with one at our Temple on 12/9. Please make every effort to attend - every Brother’s participation counts! !!The recap of our busy October: our Stated Meeting occurred at William Pitt Tavern in Portsmouth. Right Worshipful Bro. Lee Fisher gave a wonderful talk about the history of the Tavern in full costume! If anyone wishes to assist at the Tavern the evenings of Candlelight Stroll (December 5 & 6), please contact Lee at aviano643pm@comcast.net.!!The NH Masonic Open House occurred on Oct. 17. Thank you for all of the Brothers that assisted. I estimate that we had approximately 30 visitors throughout the day.!!Our Veterans and Ladies at the Table took place on Oct 23 and it was a great night! Our Grand Master was very complimentary on the program and it was quite well received. Our honorees included a 40-year pin to Worshipful Brother Walter Alcox and a 50-year medal to Worshipful Brother Joe Kenick. We had a special guest in Bro. Robert Fortnam, a 57-year member of the Craft, who told us about his time as a P.O.W. in Germany in WWII after being shot down in his B-17 over Belgium. Thank you to Bro. Ron LaTerza and the Brethren of Pulpit Rock for their hard work at dinner!!!A very special presentation was made on behalf of our Lodge by the Grand Master to Right Worshipful Tom Lowe. Tom was awarded the Major General John Sullivan Award in Silver, one of the highest honors bestowed on a New Hampshire Mason.
