Hurricane Sandy ReliefHousing Competition
description
The design consists of a variety of housing types to replace many of the structures that were damaged by Hurricane Sandy. All designs are raised 13 feet above sea level and are located in Rockaway/Broad Channel Areas within Zone 1 on the New York City Evacuation Map.
Each design rests on concrete piers and is comprised of steel framed modular construction with concrete fl oors, spray foam insulation be-tween studs and wood paneling fi nish.
