Reasons for Strengthening up of Management Structure
Reasons for Strengthening up of Management Structure
• On every 5th Day of each month the schools are required to submit monthly data. This correspondence with cumulative data preparation at District Panchayat.
• The Data is then filtered and checked as per norms in according with the provided fields by the computer Operators.
• The computer operators is required to get the Data corrected and updated from the School with further inputs which the schools have not filled in correctly and also to complete the unfilled data.
• This work is resource oriented hence more personal, MDM Coordinator is required.
• This will further ensure effective and proper monitoring and also ensure the Redressal of Grievance at District Panchayat level

Steps taken to improve the Performance of MDM
• Training imparted to 60 cook cum helpers.• On 5th of every month the teachers meeting is schedule at District
Panchayat .• 2 NGOs hired for effective Monitoring. • Mid day Meal Project Manager and ODS (edu deptt.) had surprised visits of
MDM kitchens/ Store• Report submitted to directly Hon’ble Administrator review and effective
actions.• The Hon’ble Administrator reviewed the process and directed the
concerned to take Remedial Measures. • All the 283 schools has been provided funds to maintain hygiene and
Sanitation and also head caps and Apron.• Tasting of food is made compulsory and the record to be kept in register on
daily basis at school level.• The students are also being taught about Environment ,Sanitation and
Hygiene through the unique and innovative a Program on “Jagrti”• Parents committee having 5 members are set up in each school.

• The introduction of IVRs system suggested by Govt. of India to be implemented on priority. A separate webpage for Mid Day Meal in D&NH with the help of Director IT shall be created.
• A technology solution to be worked out for real time monitoring of the status of MDM in each school. For this purpose, Mobile phones with photo and uploading capability could be provided to all the Head Masters and/or Head Teachers. This work of IVRS to be prepared by Director (IT) with the help of NIC by the end of this academic session.
