About JANOG : the usual stuff• Founded 1997• 7500+ mailing list members as of Jan 2016• Meetings

• Held twice a year, usually January and July.• Three day meeting

• 2 days of plenary sessions + 1/2 day of tutorials and BoFs• mostly focus on technical and operational discussions• Internet live streaming & video archive (1 month after meeting) available

• No registration fee for meeting• Presentations and discussions are in Japanese

• English acceptable but rough translation is recommended• around 10 non-native attendees per meeting

• 800+ attendees at Tokyo meetings• 500+ attendees at other cities

• Next meeting (JANOG38) July 2016 in Okinawa
