04 Getting accurate propoerties in your modelMaterials Set Up

You can amend your materials and build ups of your walls in Revit using their library. This will calculate and give you accurate properties for your building elements.

Edit Type for your wall or glazing

Go to Edit for Structure to make your changes

Information on the thickness of your wall

Calculated overall U-Value for your wall

04 Getting accurate propoerties in your modelMaterials Set Up

In the structure editor, change your materials and thicknesses.

You can amend your materials in the materials library. There will already be a huge array of materials in this Library available to you with accurate data.

Go to the box with 3 dots adjacent to the material name to amend it’s properties.

Amend your values in the Thermal Tab

You may need to add a type of performance if it isn’t there.
