1. What was I doing the last time I felt really effective?

2. At work, what do I most look forward to doing?

3. On any given day in my current job, do I get to do what I most liketo do?

4. If I have a spare hour between appointments, how do I spend it?

5. Thinking about the last time I was working hard and just lost track of time, what was I doing?

Now make a list of the happiest and proudest moments in your professional life…at least six andas many as ten.

Look for patterns on that list…

Were you making presentations?

Devising solutions?

Fixing a spreadsheet?

Doing good works?

Connecting with others?

Now list your strengths—what makes you effective, what makes you forgetyou’re even working.
