ASME EFEST
E-Fests are a three-day, two-night regional event built around design,
advanced manufacturing and robotics technologies.
They enable engineering students to expand their knowledge, test and
showcase new skills and inspire innovation.
Global exposure-Interaction with Top-level Managers of various
companies.
E-Fests are held in 4 locations world wide:- E-Fest Asia Pacific, E-Fest
North, E-Fest South, E-Fest South America.
Various Events in E-Fest
Human Powered Vehicle Challenge (HPVC)
Student Design Challenge
Innovative Additive Manufacturing 3D Challenge (IAM3D)
Aeromania RC Plane Challenge
Old Guard Oral Competition
Student Design Challenge (SDC)
Student Design Competition provides a platform for ASME Student
Members to present their solutions to a range of design problems-from
everyday household tasks to ground breaking space exploration.
Each team is required to design, construct and operate a prototype meeting
the requirements of an annually determined problem statement.
The previous year challenge was to make a pick-and-place robot
IAM3D
IAM3D Challenge is designed to give mechanical and multi-disciplinary
undergraduate students around the world an opportunity to re-engineer
existing products or create new designs.
Students competing in ASME IAM3D will showcase their creativity by
demonstrating the value added through their ingenuity, application of sound
engineering design principles, and leveraging Additive Manufacturing
technologies.
Previous year challenge was to make a pick-and-place hovercraft.
ASME EFx
ASME EFx is an offshoot of the Society’s successful ASME Engineering
Festival (ASME E-Fest) program.
Although smaller in scale, ASME EFx events can include many of the same
activities that are featured at traditional ASME E-Fests, including keynote
sessions, interactive workshops and training session.
ASME EFx offer colleges and universities a novel way to engage with their
students, provide students with professional development and skills
training, and prepare them to compete at ASME E-Fests.
Achievements 2018-19
ASME E-FEST Asia Pacific 2019:-
Team Nandini secured 3rd position in Aeromania Challenge.
Team Optimus cleared the technical inspection of student
design challenge.
Team Sedna cleared the technical inspection of IAM3D
Challenge and got qualified for finals.
EFx 2019:-
Teams from TKMCE secured the 1st, 2nd and 3rd position in
student design challenge.
