Our women-only centre in Chester-le-Street offers a wide variety of free and low-cost
courses and support services, helping you to learn, relax and socialise in a welcoming
and friendly atmosphere.

Let’s Get Cooking! - Tuesday 12.30 – 2.30pm, 10 weeks (starts 23 Sept)This exciting new course will enable you to develop your cooking skills and gain practical experience of healthy eating, cooking on a budget, menu planning and food hygiene awareness.
Fit as a fiddle! - Wednesday 09.30 – 11.30am, 6 weeks (starts 17 Sept and 5 Nov)Let's get active as we learn how to keep our body and mind fit through exercise. First Aid Basics – Thursday 12.30 – 2.30pm, 6 weeks (starts 18 Sept and 6 Nov)Throughout this course you'll explore why first aid is important, learn how to react and what to do when incidents occur and use practical activities to develop a useful knowledge of basic first aid skills.

Using Microsoft PowerPoint you will design and create a website-style presentation with multiple pages, navigation buttons, various styles of content and hyperlinks.
Internet and Email for Beginners – Tuesday 12.30 – 2.30pm, 10 weeks (starts 23 Sept)What are Internet Service Providers (ISPs)? What are browsers? And what are search engines? You'll explore new ways to express yourself and produce your own pieces of creative writing to boost your literacy skills and self confidence.

Repairing and revitalising old photos – Weds 09.30 – 11.30am, 12 weeks (starts 17 Sept)Always wanted to rejuvenate your old family photos, make a collage of those specialmemories or simply change your eye colour? During this course you will learn how to make montages and digital collages, restore old photos so they look as good as new and colourise old black and white photos. The sky’s the limit!

Chat n CraftChat n Craft – If you enjoy making and creating things or have a craft skill you would like to share, come along on Tuesdays 12.30 to 2.30pm.
Emotional Wellbeing Group - A friendly group for women of all ages who feel they wouldbenefit from a little support for their emotional health. Share experiences, gain coping strategies and build your self esteem. Join us on Wednesdays 12.30 to 2.30pm (starts 24 Sept).
Drop In GroupDrop In Group – The drop in group offers friendship and support. You can come along for five minutes or two hours, it’s up to you. Come along for a cuppa, a chat, laughter and friendship on Thursdays 9.30 to 11.30am.
