1 SCOPE

I-CAR,theInter-IndustryConferenceonAutoCollisionRepair,thenot-for-profitorganizationcreatedin1979bythecollectiveautomotivecollisionrepairindustry(Repairers,Insurers,OEMs,Suppliers,SchoolsandServices),ischarteredtoassistthecollisionrepairindustrywithprogramsthathelpindustryindividualsandbusinessesdevelopandaccesstheinformation,knowledgeandskillsrequiredtoperformcomplete,safeandqualityrepairs.

Accordingly,I-CAR’sProfessionalDevelopmentProgramisdesignedtoestablishclarityontherequisiteterminalandenablinglearningobjectives,documentedasknowledgeandskills,toachievesuchrepairs,asdefinedbyindustrystakeholdersincooperationwithI-CAR.

Further,industry-wideadoptionoftheprogramastheindustrystandardfortrainingcontributestoindustryconsistency,uniformityandefficienciesforallstakeholders,whilealsocontributingtotheindustry’sobjectiveofcomplete,safeandqualityrepairs.
