Use Cases from the California Community Colleges Chancellors Office/3CMeNow
1. Colleges across the State of California recently were able to attend regional training workshops using the 3CMeNow desktop client. Some colleges have old h.323 room systems that don’t function, or have difficulty dialing out of their network due to firewall restrictions. With the desktop client, staff at many California Community Colleges were able to get their training via desktop Video Conferencing.
2. Faculty will be using the technology this summer to conduct distance education classes this summer.
2. Several California Community Colleges are conducting recruitment interviews for employment. Candidates from outside California are able to be interviewed through the use of the desktop client, saving the Districts budget dollars for travel expenses.
3. California Community Colleges system-wide projects began using the Video as a service to conduct administrative and planning meetings.
Future Use Cases from the California Community Colleges Chancellors Office and 3CMeNow
1. Counselors to use 3CMeNow services to discuss education plans/goals with students
2. Faculty to use the technology during office hours with online students.
3. Writing Centers/Tutoring Centers to use Video as a service technology to assist online students with classwork assignments.
4. Increased use of the 3CMeNow service for Administrative meetings and Professional Development with staff located at different District campuses/centers.
