• Criteria focus on amenities that support bicycle travel and casual trips

• Criteria focus on end of trip amenities and policies that encourage bicycle commuting
• Any residential property with amenities that support daily bicycle use
• Criteria focus on supporting convenient bicycle storage and maintenance

• Certified businesses are uploaded onto the Bike Friendly Map
• Google API map • Includes all Bike Friendly
Certified listings and profiles
• Recommended routes can be uploaded in KML and descriptions can be added
• Searchable directions function for finding listings
Business Profile
• Includes business description, amenities and services and links to business website and contact information.
Route Profiles
• Any appropriate route can be uploaded, current listings are all Blue Route segments

Program website launched early May. 5 businesses have certified and interest is growing quickly. To-date we have two bike shops, two breweries, and one hotel registered along with several legacy businesses from the pilot. Future opportunities may include collaboration to expand network to other parts of Atlantic Canada.
