• While people support the use biological and chemical weapons there are many that oppose its usage.

Negative effects of Biological and Chemical Weapons• The various types of biological chemical weapons produce different effects. • Vesicants: blisters and burning of the skin, eyes, throat and lungs

• Cancer such as leukemia• Birth defects/ babies born with cancer• Death by fluid build up in lungs• blindness

Choking Agents: irritation of eyes throat and lungs

Death by fluid build up in lungs

• Blood Agents: prevents flow of blood to tissue and vital organs

• Nerve Agents: most dangerous and fatal even in small amounts

• Convulsions• Results in death caused by respiratory paralysis• Absorbed by skin and can penetrate clothing• Defoliates trees

Positive effects of Biological and Chemical Weapons

• Biological and chemicals weapons are cheaper to purchase and manufacture.

• Efficient in battle when it comes to killing people in large numbers

Biological Chemical Weapons in Syria

• While reports and test show signs of chemical and biological weapon use in Syria they were unsure about who used them exactly.

Solutions

• Ban chemical and biological weapons (already been done)

• Limit amount of biological and chemical weapons
