• BBK was founded by UK grime artists Skepta and Jme. They are an independent record label and mainly consists of other UK grime artists. Recently a massive artist by the name of Drake has joined this record label.

• It is clear that artists from mainstream record labels appeal to a wider range of audiences while artists from independent record labels tend to appeal to a more specific audience in specific places. However independent labels have the chance to appeal to really big artists like how BBK did with Drake. This definitely broadened BBK target audience and gave them some promotion in other countries and cities.
