Bona Fide Request (BFR) – a request for a network element, interconnection option, or service option required to be made available by FCC or Commission requirements pursuant to the Act.

New Business Request (NBR) – a request for a new or modified feature or capability of an existing product or service, a new product or service that is not deployed within the BellSouth network, operations systems or business support systems, or a new or modified service option, that was not previously included in the customer’s Interconnection agreement and is not required by the Act.

• All requests must be submitted in writing from the CLEC to your account team or to the CLEC Care representative assigned to your account.

• Requests will be processed pursuant to the guidelines within the BFR/NBR section of your Interconnection Agreement.

• For questions concerning the BFR/NBR process, please contact your account team, your Local Contract Manager or your Contract Negotiator.
