……..Bridging the optical divide………

Industry Summary

Over 80% of commercial buildings are within 80 metres of a fibre optic backbone

Yet less than 5% of them are connected

Industry Summary

Conventional methods of last mile deployment are uneconomical and extremely slow

Extensive & substantial markets still to be exploited due to prohibitive deployment costs

How does Lite Access solve the digital divide?

Focusing on “Trenchless” slot cut technologies, LAT will enable the execution of applications and business models that are cost effective and timely.

Depending on MicroDuct configuration and strand count requirement, LAT's ‘MicroDuct’ is laid directly into a slot cut into existing infrastructure.

How does Lite Access solve the digital divide?

Depth of deployment may vary depending on pre-defined municipal standards. However a recommendation of no less than 6” depth of cover in hard deployments, and no less than 8” depth of cover in soft infrastructure, has proven typical.

Telco approved access chambers are then either installed along a designed route or the network can be engineered to incorporate existing handholes and/or manholes thus allowing for network interfaces and/or breakouts for new network connections.

How does Lite Access solve the digital divide?

For in-building requirements, LAT’s suite of plenum rated products can be connected at demarcation sites including Server and Telco rooms creating a continuous point to point network whereby no fibre splicing is necessary.

Once installation and reinstatement is complete, up to 72 strands of Industry compliant fibre can be blown from end to end in a matter of minutes.

Fibre Options

• Single mode 2-72 core Industry compliant fibre - most commonly used for metro fibre networks.

• Multimode - up to 72 core Industry compliant fibre - for shorter point-to-point connections whereby distance/bandwidth restrictions apply.

• Both Single and Multimode can be deployed together.

Network Architecture• MicroDuct Networks can be deployed in a ring configuration providing resilience.

• Point-to-Point connectivity can also be accommodated providing either redundancy for existing communication needs or as a dedicated network for high speed requirements.

• MicroDuct networks have no distance limitations. Polyethylene tubes can be connected using specially designed connectors providing water and air tight connections. Using mid-point blow sites, fibre can then be blown entire distances eliminating any issues associated with splicing, i.e. attenuation loss.

Network Breakout and Building Connection

• Traditional, non-proprietary access chambers are installed at regular intervals during construction. Chambers can be used for mid-point blow sites, accommodate LAT tube distribution closures or for future breakout locations.

• LAT’s internal distribution chambers can be used to connect MicroDuct to internal plenum rated products for in-building requirements. Using specially designed connectors, fibre can then be blown from end to end without the need for splicing.

Network Interfacing

• Industry standard interfacing to core/backbone networks and traditional ducted deployments using Industry standard interface kits.

• LAT’s fibre solution has been designed to integrate easily with any and all types of technology.

• LAT's "MicroDuct" solution is future-proof - additional fibre can be "blown" at any time enabling our clients to have complete control of future growth demands.

Traditional Lite Access

• Disruptive

• Slow to deploy

• Unsightly

• Cost prohibitive

• Non disruptive

• Fast to deploy

• Discreet
