Brothers continue a century-plus record of serving in and helping to create
Catholic faith and learning communities in dozens of schools across North America.
Brothers’ ministry projects enable young people to gain a better
sense of their own baptismal calling and vocation to be Christian.
Brothers live in community
and invite all to share with us in our ministry and to serve God with us.
Brothers’ education services for adults
range from spirituality classes, to workshops for teachers, to English as a Second Language (ESL) instruction.

Brothers foster the sense that each individual belongs to the larger community of faith.
We share and reflect our experiences in the light of the Gospel.
We celebrate the value and dignity of each person.
In the western hemisphere Brothers are also
currently serving with the poor in the West Indies, Paraguay, Argentina and Peru.

“What we do with our hearts effects the whole universe.”
A specific mission entrusted to us by the Church is the evangelization
of youth through the ministry of Christian education.
A Brother is a man who is striving to find where God is calling him.
Brothers are involved in teaching, youth ministry, adult education
and many other ministries that bring us into contact with Christ present in the world.

Brothers are men who chose to answer the call to live together
communally and work with God’s people through various ministries.
Becoming a Brother is a life-long process.
Typically, it takes about five years before a man takes his first vows.
“Each Brother is an open letter from Christ –
A message written, not with ink but in the Spirit ofthe living God, with a faithful human heart to carry it!”
Brothers nurture the development of the whole person,
opening minds, stimulating hearts, and strengthening bodies.
In a tender, troubled world, the Christian Brothers
instill humility and hope and inspire faith among youth.
