There is a very wide range of opals here. Items down from #20, $400/oz down, are very good for the professional cutter who cuts and resells.

The Skinny Shell for only $195 will cut a very brilliant pendant. You may decide to take out the sandstone with a dremel, you can leave the shape of the shell.

The polished Shell for only $150 represents about only about $3/ct, that would make a beautiful pendant. The little hinge on the shell is intact which is not often the case.

I have been looking for my 'pick of the bunch' but it's very hard to decide between the three Mintubi stones that have been slightly faced so that you can see what you are getting, they are the $825, $987 and $1,262 stone. I think because of the variety of colours and the beautiful pattern I'd go for the $987 stone but most women like the greens with a dash of blue that you are going to get from the $825 and $1,262 stones.

For good cutters that like a challenge we have some beautiful free shapes. Obviously go for the $372 Mintubi partly faced very beautiful stone, there are six stones there so you are not looking at much more than $60 each, the colour is brilliant.

The $419 Red on Black Mintubi is going to make a marvellous pendant, pull out your dremel and work on that one you'll have something very special.

Perhaps the best value for money for the whole lot is the $97 Andamooka Dark Crystal, it is a superb stone.

You all have a wonderful Christmas and I hope these opals are spread widely.
