Buying Textbooks

Buying TextbooksAvoid sticker shock without breaking your bank or back.

MyESC is the place to be.

Click on “Bookstore” under the quick links section.

First you will need to have a read your learning contract to find the title and ISBN# of the books you will need for the course.

Studygroups or Independent Studies select Mentor listing.

CDL (online) studies select CDL listing.

The course number is located on your registration confirmation page you can view that under the “Register” tab (blue tab)

Once you selected the correct course number scroll down and check to see if the title and

the ISBN # matches the one listed on your learning contract.

Click on “add selected books to cart”.

After you click on add books to cart, from this point you can search for books needed for other classes following the previous steps or you can check out.

Once you click on “check out” follow the steps indicated on the next few screens.

If a book is not listed where is should be contact the instructor to see if it’s the correct book. If you still cannot find the book contact the Bookstore to see if it is available. 518-587-2100 ext. 2285

Paying with Financial Aid?No Worries!

You can still order your books else where.

How you might ask? Good Question!

You can receive an advance of your excess financial aid!

Advance to Excess Financial Aid

GO to MyESC

Click on “Student Accounts”

Click on “Financial Aid Refunds”.

On the next screen click on “Advance of Pending Excess Financial Aid”.

Click on the “Foundation Loan App” to load the pdf version.

Fill out the form and submit to Student AccountsEmpire State College, 111 West Ave., Saratoga Springs, NY 12866 or fax it to 518-581-2782. Review of applications begins 6 weeks prior to the term start date.
