• Hydro Power is when electricity is generated by falling fresh water that turns turbines.

• Hydro power works because of a dam. A dam raises the water level which creates a drop of water. Next the turbines turn the water and then a generator creates electrical energy from it.

• Least expensive resource• Less damaging to the environment• Its supply of electricity from the generators is guaranteed• The large reservoirs give off gasses such as carbon

dioxide and methane that helps green houses.

• The construction is very expensive• If the reservoir would over flow it would

affect the environment.• Takes a long time to build the dams.• If they are building a dam where you live

you are forced to move.

• I picked hydro power because I thought the huge waterfalls were cool and that they actually tribute to something.

• The pictures that showed the turbines and generators were interesting because they transfer water into electricity.

• The United States is using hydro power right now but only in 3 states.

• The world is using hydro power but mostly in warm areas.

• I think that hydro power should be used everywhere because it would last a long time and help the environment grow.
