Shri Arvindbhai PanjariCouncillor, Porbander Municipal CorporationAttended a study tour to Bengaluru and Mysuru, March 2017

Of the many innovations we saw during

our study tour to Karnataka, I was most

impressed with the Public Bicycle

Sharing system in Mysuru, and the

Tender Sure roads of Bengaluru. I will

take these ideas back to my peers in

Porbander, and hope to implement them

soon! They will definitely help my city

become more sustainable and

equitable.

Changing attitudes

Smt. Meena M GajjarDeputy Town PlannerSurat Municipal CorporationAttended multiple trainings in Gandhinagar, 2016-17

The trainings - especially the hands-

on exercises - helped me realise that

as a town planner, I need to work

across disciplines and sectors – such

as public transport - to ensure that

urban development is integrated,

holistic, and effective. This

understanding will help enrich my

work!
