Middle Level Endorsement

• Allows you to teach in grades 5 to and including 9 in your major and minor areas of preparation.

• Broadens your horizons for job opportunities!

Special Education

• Teachers of Students with Cognitive Impairment

• Teachers of Students with Emotional Impairment

Student Teaching• Depending on which University you choose to

attend, your student teaching requirements could range from a semester to a full year.

• Most Universities offer study abroad options for student teaching, too!

Choose your Path!

Using my website evaluations, I need to pick a path, and research why I do or do not want to go down that route.

For Example:I want to be an elementary school teacher, and I would also like to get a middle level endorsement.• My Major is: Integrated Sciences• My Minor is: History• I also need to research the steps required to get a

middle level endorsement

Find Photos

• Once you have chosen your content area or area of study, find four photos that relate to it.

• Use Tag Galaxy to help you in your quest for photos

• Or use Flikr– BE SURE TO SITE YOUR SOURCES!

• What are some possible photos I could use for my career path?– Major: Integrated Sciences– Minor: History– Middle Level Endorsement

• Possible search terms:– Geography, Rocks, Beakers, Space, Etc.– Rome, Greece, Native Americans, Etc.– Adolescent, Sports, Lockers, Cafeteria, Etc.

• Now I need to paste my photos WITH THE SOURCES LISTED!

Why did you choose that path in Education?

• I love working with kids• Science interests me• I like to be in control• I feel that I work well/best with middle aged kids or very young children.

Choose 3 places where you would prefer to do your student teaching.

• My choices are:– Utica Community Schools• Jeannette Junior High• Oakbrook Elementary

– Troy School District• Baker Middle School• Morse Elementary

Find Satellite Images

• Use the web to get the address of your three student teaching school selections.

• Use earth.google.com, and google images to find satellite images of the schools you chose.– Are they visually appealing?– Do you like the area around the schools?– Can you see yourself teaching there?
