This creative work is dedicated to life and death, love and hate, war and peace.The Trench Table by Patsyart Antique is a hymn to love and game that involves the frontal confrontation and balance of forces between two people, where human relations are constantly put to the test. The game Trench was invented by the Portuguese Rui Alipio Monteiro, who dedicated this work to his "semper fidelis adjutant, Maria Luisa Monteiro". As the author says, this game is a tribute to those who suffered and perished on a piece of land, evoking one of the most striking and dramatic wars of Contemporary and Universal History of the 20th century - World War I.The representation of the game on the Trench Table, designed by Patsyart Antique, is the place to meet and combat. It shows the creation of a world made of shadow and light, enthusiasm and control, intelligence and accuracy, alternating and balancing opposing and complementary forces and principles. There is no life without death nor war without peace, as it is the union of the poles that the world emerges. Filled with deep symbolism, the Trench is a field of action, a bridge between fantasy and reality where the psychic life of the human being is revealed and transformed in each move.
