How it workssmartPoints are wireless data loggers that provide fully au-tomated data collection of temperature or dual temperature and humidity conditions, eliminating manual activities and signifi cantly improving process effi ciency. smartPoints au-tomatically indicate when thresholds are about to be excee-ded, enabling pro-active intervention during transportation (depending on confi guration).

Data transmissionsmartPoints wirelessly communicate with a wireless network consisting of a smartGate and smartRouters that extend the range of the communication.

Logging and FlushingIn range of a wireless network, smartPoints provide real-time information. Outside a wireless network, smartPoints log their measurements, and automatically download this log upon arrival in a wireless network. From the smartGate, the sensor measurements are securely communicated to the cen-tral berlinger smartview® web application. This provides an integrated real-time view on shipments and storage facilities.

DeploymentsmartPoints are small, battery-operated, intelligent wireless sensing devices with 2 MB on board data storage, advanced logging & fl ushing technology, and low energy consumption. smartPoints have an accurate internal temperature and hu-midity sensor, ideal for any application where relative humi-dity must be monitored and EN12830 compliance is required. With a magnetic reed switch for triggering behaviour, and a LED for visual inspection. Both sensors can be calibrated ba-sed on ISO/IEC 17025 standards.
