May the Absolute Lord protect us both (the teacher and the taught). May we enjoy (the teaching) together. May we gain strength together. May the study be illuminating. May we not misunderstand each other. Om Peace! Peace! Peace!

एकद$ ंमहाकाय ं ल"ोदर गजानन ं। िव#नाशकरं दवे ं हरे$ ं!णमा%हम ् ॥

ekadantam mahākayaṁ lambodara gajānanam | vighnanāshakaram devam herāmbam prana-māmyaham ||

I bow to that God, who has one tusk, one who has a large body, one who has a big stomach, one who has the face of an elephant; he who destroys all obstacles and who is also called Herambh (beloved of the mother).

सर#ित नम#%ु ंवरद ेकाम$िपिण । िव#ारंभ ंकिर$ािम िसि#दभ &वत ुम ेसदा ॥

sarasvati namastubhyaṁ varade kāma-rūpiṇi | vidyārambhaṁ kariṣyāmi siddhir-bhavatu me sadā ||

O goddess Saraswati of enchanting form, I humbly bow to thee. Always let there be good accomplishment in my pursuit of learning.

बिु$दब &लम ् यशो धयै $म ् िनभ $य&म ् अरोगता । अजा$म ् वा#टु&म ् च हनमुत ् !रणात ् भवते॥्

buddhirbalaṁ yaśo dhairyaṁ nirbhayatvaṁ arogatā | ajādyaṁ vākpatutvaṁ cha hanumat smaranāt bhavet ||

By remembering Hanumanji, one can gain wisdom, strength, success, courage, fearlessness, good health, lack of sluggishness, and eloquent oratory skills.

pūrṇam-evāvaśiṣyate ॥ That Brahman is full, complete. This apparent creation is full, complete. From Brahman this creation has come about. Even though the creation has emerged from the Brahman, the Brahman remains ever complete.
