Operation Christmas Child brings joy and hope to

children in desperate situations through gift-filled

shoe boxes and the Good News of God’s love. Since

1993, more than 100 million boys & girls in over 130

countries have experienced God’s love through the

power of these simple shoe box gifts. The Mission

Committee has empty shoeboxes and more info at

both Church entrances. Pick up a brochure with gift

tags for a boy or girl and a list of suggested items to

purchase to fill a shoebox.

at St. Matthew Catholic Church–

A combined community choir for this

special service of giving thanks is also

being formed. Those interested in

singing in the choir should attend

practice at Zion Lutheran, Nov. 12 & 19,

at 7:00pm. Those attending the

Community Service are requested but

not required to bring a donation for the

local food bank. (special need for

boxes of macaroni & cheese.)

Congregational Meeting

November 15, 2015

The Annual Congregational Meeting has been

moved and will now take place in November.

All CVZ Church family (members and non

members) are encouraged to attend on Sunday

November 15 after 2nd Worship Service. We

will meet in the social hall for fellowship and a

meal provided by CVZ Church followed by the

congregational meeting. (Child care available.)

TOY DONATIONS

In the upcoming ACT Christmas Production: Return of the Christmas Kid– part of the story takes place in a Toy Store. We are in need of new toys to stock the shelves. ACT is asking for donations of new purchased toys and games (listed below) that we can use for the show and then after donate the toys to a charity that will give them to kids this Christmas. Please help us to fill our Toy Store and help a needy child receive a Christmas gift this Christmas. We will need all toys dropped off in the collection boxes in the narthex by Dec. 6th. Thank you.

New Toys needed: Stuffed animals, Board games, Cars, trucks and train toys, Baby dolls, Barbie dolls, Legos or any building toy, action/hero figures, learning toys, electronic games, DVD Kid movies, small ride on toys, Playskool toys and dress up clothes.

Poinsettias for Christmas

Orders are now being taken

for Poinsettias for Christmas

Sunday. There are many different sizes

available and 3 colors – Red, White or

Pink. Poinsettias can be given in Honor

or Memory of someone or for the Glory

of God. Order forms are available in the

Narthex or in your church mailbox.

Please place your completed order forms

in the Secretary’s mailbox or you can also

place your order online at

www.cvzec.org. Payment envelopes will

be distributed once you place your order.

honor ACT Drama Group’s 20 years of ministry.

Missionary Prayer Requests-

CVZ 2 Africa— mission team—June 16-27,2016 prayers and financial support are greatly appreciated. Please pray for safety of the team, unity as we minister and grow, and that lives will be changed as we serve the people of Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.

Joe Toy- Outreaches to college campuses and now starting a Camden outreach. On Nov. 3 we will meet Joe (on his Birthday) to deliver Christmas Stockings for the kids of his Sidewalk Sunday School ministry in inner city Philadelphia.

Gloria Smethers—pray for Gloria & the other nurse as they continue to help the 76 residents in the AIM retirement center in FL. And pray for her brother Kevin’s continued recovery from a serious helicopter accident.

Brian & Missy Wagner & family– pray for their service at Rift Valley Academy in Kenya, both in teaching and administration positions. And for their children Rachel, Hannah & Micah‘s current studies.
