Has a unique installation and removal guide/cradle for easy

removal and replacement of blade carrier tube, especially

when servicing cleaners on wide belts. Patented rubber

blade mountings (i) Maintain constant belt pressure -

irrespective of belt profile or irregularities. (ii) Allow blades

to deflect when encountering metal belt fasteners and

accommodate reversing belts. Four types of blade are

available to suite various applications.

MARTIN has re-designed the SC16 Cleaner Assembly with

buffer and blade assembly are on a removable cartridge,

for quick changes of buffers and blades. (No need to remove

mainframe/carrier tube). Lower the cleaner assembly away

from the belt, remove the hitch pin and remove the cartridge.

Place new cartridge in position, replace pin and re-tension the

scraper. Blade mounts do not have to be disassembled for

servicing on site. Old cartridge can be returned to workshop

for refurbishment.

On belts demonstrating “above average” carryback after the

discharge point, a double SC16 can be installed. This is usually

hung from a Channel T-bracket. Other brackets offer different

options depending on space available.

The SC10 is just 2/3 the size of the SC16 and the advantages

over the SC16 is that it can be used for a secondary application

where installation space is limited. It also offers an affordable

option for smaller mines but only up to 1200mm belt widths.

The scraper is mounted to the conveyor stringers ahead of

the tail pulley or other nip location. In cases of severe

contamination and/or an inclined belt situation, the center

point mounting is spring loaded to provide a constant

positive pressure on the plough, thus ensuring continuous

belt contact and optimum cleaning.

The Angle or Bias plough is a variation of the “V-plough

concept, for use in situations where material can only be

discharged at one side of the belt. The plough is mounted

on the conveyor stringers and the blade is held at a constant

angle to the belt surface, in a trailing position by parallel

linkages attached to the blade mountings at each side.

The scraper can be installed to discharge to either side of

the belt.
