Clear your Browser’s Cache and Cookies

Why do you need to clear or refresh your cache?

Your browser has a folder in which certain items that have been downloaded are stored for future use. Graphic images (such as buttons and icons), photos, and even entire web pages are examples of items which are saved or cached. When a website changes the cached data may cause issues when trying to visit a site such as the site failing to load.

Identify your browser When accessing the internet you will most likely click/tap on one of the following icons on your device. (You can click on the name or the image of the browser you use below to navigate to the relevant section of this guide). Once you have cleared your cache close the browser and reopen it before visiting eForms again.

Internet Explorer (11 or lower)

Mozilla Firefox

Safari - mac (Version 8 or

Higher)

Chrome (Android/Tablet/

Phone)

Safari – IOS (iPad/iPhone)

Chrome (Laptop /desktop)

Microsoft Edge

• Click on the menu button situated in the upper right corner.

• Click on Settings.

• • Under Clear browsing data, click on Choose what to clear.

• Check the boxes next to Cookies and saved website data and Cached data and files.

• Click on Clear.

Internet Explorer 11 or lower:

Select Tools (via the Gear Icon in the top right corner) Select Safety then select Delete browsing history....

o NOTE: You can also access this menu by holding Ctrl + Shift + Delete.

Make sure to uncheck Preserve Favourites website data and check both Temporary Internet Files and Cookies then click Delete.

You will get a confirmation at the bottom of the window once it has successfully cleared your cache and cookies.

Mozilla Firefox

• Click on the menu button in the upper right corner. • Select Options.

• • In the Privacy section, click on Clear your recent history. From the drop-down menu next to Time range to clear, select everything, then click on Clear Now.

• In the left-side column, click on Advanced, then go to the Network tab. • In the Cached Web Content section, click on Clear Now.

Safari – mac (Version 8 or Higher)

• Click Safari in the upper left hand side of your screen. In the menu that appears, click Preferences.

• In the window that appears, click the Privacy tab. Click the button Remove All Website Data....

• Click Remove Now in the pop up window that appears.

Safari – IOS (iPad/iPhone)

• Close all open windows in your browser and exit Safari then open the Settings app

• Select Safari from the menu on the list on the left side of the screen

• Scroll down the right hand side of the screen and select Clear History and Website Data

• Select Clear on the popup

Chrome (Laptop/Desktop)

• Click on the More button, situated in the upper right corner.

• Go to History, and select History.

• Choose From the beginning of time and click again on Clear browsing data.

• NOTE: Make sure the boxes next to Cached images and files and Cookies and other site and plug-in data are checked.

Chrome (Android, Phone, Tablet)

• Select the More icon in the top right corner

• Select History from the menu

• Select Clear browsing History from the bottom of the window that opens

• Ensure ‘Browsing History’, ‘Cookies, Site Data’ and ‘Cached Images and Files’ are selected and select Clear Browsing Data

• Select Clear Browsing History again and close the window by selecting Done in the top right corner

• Select More, Menu or Options from the top right corner of the browser.

• Select Settings from the menu

• Select Privacy or Privacy and Security from the menu then select Delete Personal Data

• Ensure Browsing History, Cache and Cookies and Site Data are selected and select Delete

Opera

Newer Versions of Opera

• Open the red O and then click Settings. Alternatively you can press Alt and P together.

• Open the Privacy & Security tab. Now click Clear browsing data...

• In the drop-down box select the beginning of time. Then check only Cookies and other site data and Cached images and files. Now click Clear browsing data.

Opera 10.50, 11

• Click on the Opera button in the top left corner then select Settings and then select Delete Private Data...

NOTE: You can also access this menu by holding Ctrl + Shift + Delete.

• Click on Detailed Options to show the rest of the options. Make sure only the following are checked:

o Delete temporary cookies o Delete all cookies o Delete entire cache o Click on the Delete button.

Opera 9 and Opera 10

• Click on Tools then Delete Private Data....
