CLOUD COMPUTING AND DATA CENTRES

2

• Cloud computing is using the internet to access someone else's software running on someone else's hardware in someone else's data center.

CONCEPT:

3

CLOUD COMPONENTS:

4

CLOUD COMPONENTS: CLIENTS• Clients are the device that the end user interact with cloud.

5

CLOUD COMPONENTS: Data Centers• It is collection of servers where application is placed and is accessed

via internet.

6

CLOUD COMPONENTS: DISTRIBUTED SERVERS• Often servers are in geographically different places, but server acts as

if they are working next to each other.

7

CLOUD COMPUTING SERVICES

8

CLOUD COMPUTING SERVICES: SaaS• SaaS is an application that can be accessed from anywhere on the

world as long as you can have an computer with an Internet Connection. We can access this cloud hosted application without any additional hardware or software.

9

CLOUD COMPUTING SERVICES: PaaS • In the PaaS model, cloud providers deliver a computing platform

typically including operating system, programming language execution environment, database, and web server.

10

CLOUD COMPUTING SERVICES: IaaS • IaaS is a computing power that you can rent for a limited period of

time. Allows existing applications to be run on a cloud suppliers hardware.

11

MODES OF CLOUD:

12

MODES OF CLOUD: Public Cloud• Computing infrastructure is hosted by cloud vendor at the vendors

premises and can be shared by various organizations

13

MODES OF CLOUD: Private Cloud• The computing infrastructure is dedicated to a particular organization

and not shared with other organizations and more expensive and more secure when compare to public cloud.

14

MODES OF CLOUD: Hybrid Cloud• Organizations may host critical applications on private clouds where

as relatively less security concerns on public cloud. Usage of both public and private together is called hybrid cloud
