Connected Classroom Guiding Documents
• Teacher will fully embrace and integrate technology tools into his/her daily instruction, as well as develop personal technical skills to enhance effectiveness and productivity.• Teacher will utilize technology to effectively
differentiate and personalize instruction to meet the individual needs of students.• Teacher will provide technology support to
students as needed to complete learning tasks.• Technology will be used as an enhancement to
rather than a substitute for classroom instruction.
Connected Teacher Pledge
• Students will have access to a mobile computing device in the Connected Classrooms.• Internet access will be filtered and monitored.• Content and production apps will be loaded
onto devices and instruction on use will be given.• Students will be issued cloud based storage
and accounts for school use.• Connected Classroom Teachers will instruct
students in appropriate use of the Internet and device use as it pertains to the classroom.
District Responsibilities
• Students will have a specific device to use at school and will be responsible for its use and care. The device is to remain in its protective case and free of marks and stickers not issued by the district.• File management and uploading assignments
are the student’s responsibility. Time will be given at school to ensure access to the network.• The devices are to be used as instructed. Use
outside of appropriate times or that is inappropriate will result in consequences.• Damages are to be reported immediately to the
teacher.
Student Responsibilities
• Discuss your expectations for age-appropriate device use (Internet, camera, social communication, etc.)• Monitor your student’s activity of the device
at home.• Ensure proper care and maintenance when
device is at home.• Contact law enforcement to file a report if the
device is lost or stolen off campus.• Devices are for student use. The proper use
and content of the device is the responsibility of the student regardless of whether another user may have accessed the device.
Parent/Guardian Responsibilities
• The device should remain in its district issued case. Covers should be free of marks and stickers.• Care should be used when plugging in
headphones or the charging cable.• Only a dry, soft cloth should be used to
clean the screen.• Do NOT bump, throw, or lean on the device.
The screen is fragile and could crack.• NEVER leave the device in an unlocked car,
locker or other unsupervised place.
Protecting Your Device
• Although each student is assigned a device, the device is the property of the district. Use will be monitored.• The care, use of, and content on the
mobile device is the assigned student’s responsibility.• Inappropriate or intentional misuse of the
device will result in disciplinary action which may include, but is not limited to, repossession of the device.• Damage and loss fees can be found in the
Mobile Computing Guide.

• Digital Citizenship is a concept that helps students understand how to use technology appropriately in a society full of technology.• The district expects students to use technology
appropriately and responsibly whether in electronic communication or participation.• The district has electronic precautions in place in
order for students to participate safely and securely in this environment and enjoy the rights of a digital world in an educational setting.• You can find tip sheets for sharing age
