Collaborate via MLP Intro Training

Run an Audio Set-up Wizard (Tools-Audio) as soon as you log in

Type a hello in the chat box Raise your hand (Utilize the hand icon to the

left and then press talk once I call on you) Turn off mic when not speaking Let's investigate!

Let’s Go Through the Basics• Be sure to remind me to hit Record• Panels and Icons• App Share• Web Tour• Load Slides – I would like you to do it, so

please find a presentation to upload• Snipping Tool and the Whiteboard

Full Moderator Panel

Relax & Ask Questions• If I need to slow down, raise hand &/or use

icon.

• This training is for you, ask questions.• I am willing to do 1 on 1 later as well.

Let’s Play With Polling

Informal – can do on the flyPublish to WhiteboardHide results from participantsGreat way to check understanding and keep

students involved

Go ahead, play with the Emoticons.

Let’s Play with Panels and Icons

Let’s Play with App Share & Web Tour

Practice Loading Slides

Let’s Use the Snipping Tool

Look for it under Accessories

Now, open an assignment in MLP and copy and paste a question to the Whiteboard

Note: Once you copy, be sure to hit the select key on Whiteboard, click on whiteboard, then paste.

Things to Remember

• Slides are static. Animation will not work.• Links will be visible on slides, but they are not

hyperlinks for the student.• When you do a Web Tour, you do not have full

control. This feature is great when you want them to play.

• App Share is fabulous for remote viewing and controlling of student computers

I have even shared my ipad• Snipping Tool is your friend and theirs!

My Preferences• Set maximum speakers to three• First day go through Orientation• Ask students to turn off mic when not in use• Use informal polling feature to keep students

involved – Let’s look at settings• Breakout rooms are great for group work• Don’t forget to hit RECORD!• Always log in at least 15 min before class• Use Remind as a texting option for

updates/back-up communication

Thank You!

If you want to do more 1 on 1, email me at stacie.kyhn@centralaz.edu
