College Board &Khan Academy Sign Up and Linking

1. REGISTER FOR COLLEGE BOARD & KHAN ACADEMY PSAT PREP2. Link these 2 accounts to generate an individualized PSAT study plan in Khan Academy

Click on Sign up

Open a Chrome browser and go to https://www.collegeboard.org/

Click on “Student”

Complete all these fields using your EXACT OFFICIAL personal information

Use the Gmail address provided to you through Skyward

Enter June of

2018 (Juniors)

2019 (Sophomores)

2020 (Freshmen)

2021 (8th graders)

Your home zip code

Type in the first few letters of your current school and select from the dropdown menu

S + ID Number

Ex. S999999

First 3 letters of birth month + number(s) of birth day + 4 numbers of birth year

Ex. AUG121999

Important: Write down the user name and password you create in a place you won’t lose them.

Skip all the Parent information; you can fill it out later.

Agree with the Terms and Conditions

Click the blue Next button

Click in each one of these boxes if the information is correct; if incorrect, click Edit and fix the mistake.

Click the BlueConfirm button

Wait 10 seconds and this screen will appear

Sign back in to your College Board account with the user name and password you created.

You will be returned to this form.

Scroll down to Personal Information

Complete your OFFICIAL Street address, City, and State EXACTLY as it appears in Skyward

This is an example of how to fill out this portion of the form

Scroll to the bottom of the form and click the blue UPDATE button

Once you click UPDATE you should see your scores

Next, open a new browser tab in Chrome. Do NOT close this window.

Possible Scenarios:

Student who already has a college board account and cannot remember login and/or password.

● Click on forgot username or password

● If the student cannot remember their secret question, to reset their account, they will need to call the help line. 866-756-7346, press 1, 1

● If the temporary password is not working

● If you've requested a temporary password multiple times, you must use the password in the most recently received email. Each temporary password replaces the earlier temporary password.

● Each temporary password will work only one time. When you sign in with it, you'll be prompted to change your password to something that's still secure but also easy to remember. If you bypassed that password change somehow, you'll need to request a new password.

● If the student no longer has access to the e mail address to get their login/password the student will need to call the help line. 866-756-7346, press 1, 1

Student creates a new account and gets an error message that they already have an account.

● Student will need to call the help line 866-756-7346, press 1, 1 Student’s account is locked.

● If someone has failed multiple times to sign-in with your username. Once your account is locked you'll receive an email with details and instructions on how to unlock. If you forgot your password and were unsuccessful in guessing it, please go to the Forgot Password page to have it reset. Please remember to always make your password as secure as possible.

Navigate to your campus website.

Click on the Academics link

Click on the Khan Academy link

Note: The Khan Academy link is on the lower left hand side on iPads.

Click on Open Resource

Click on Log in…

Username is S+idnumber

Password is your NPin

Click on Let’s Go!

Click on Khan Academy icon

Click here. The answer to the question is NO.

Click NOT NOW

Click Save. You can change your avatar later.

Note: You may not be prompted to select an avatar.

Click on the SAT link

Click here. The answer is A.

Then click Update.

Click SEND and watch the magic happen as your Khan Academy account is linked to your College Board account.

Sign back in to your College Board account with the user name and password you created.

Click on Allow

Click Display your scores. If you can see your scores, then your accounts are linked.

You should be able to see your PSAT scores.
